The insulation’s open construction method protects you by keeping out cold air reliably yet at the same time allowing excess body heat to escape. The outer fabric is wind- and water-resistant, as well as abrasion-resistant. That means you can wear this as your outer layer on a climb on most days. Stretch inserts ensure you get ideal freedom of movement. The jacket can be stowed small and compact in its own hood and can find a spot in any pack with its minimal packsize.
