Less exclusive than its big brother the Backland 65 UL, the BACKLAND 78 UL is a touring ski from Atomic that will allow you to go up a gear.

Its construction is based on a light wood core, completed by a carbon layer that improves the robustness, without additional weight to limit your fatigue while riding. The performance is also there in the descents with Dura Cap sidewalls that ensure grip and the wider tip combined with the All Mountain rocker that increase maneuverability.

A perfect ski for tourers who want to go faster and faster and enjoy the climbs and descents.

• All mountain rocker: 15% rocker in the front and 85% camber on the rest of the ski.

The insulation’s open construction method protects you by keeping out cold air reliably yet at the same time allowing excess body heat to escape. The outer fabric is wind- and water-resistant, as well as abrasion-resistant. That means you can wear this as your outer layer on a climb on most days. Stretch inserts ensure you get ideal freedom of movement. The jacket can be stowed small and compact in its own hood and can find a spot in any pack with its minimal packsize. Two front zip pockets offer space to carry small items such as a phone or snacks. Reflectivity ensures increased visibility at dawn, dusk and in the dark.
