Description
ATOMIC BACKLAND 78 23
The lightest and thinnest model in the Backland range, the Atomic BACKLAND 78 is a versatile touring ski that promises great ascents to the highest peaks.
With a 78mm skate and an Ultra Light Woodcore, this ski makes it easy to climb thanks to its light weight, while still performing well on the way down. Indeed, its All-Mountain Rocker profile allows absolute control in all circumstances, even on hard snow and the steepest slopes, while its Step Down Sidewall construction guarantees optimal resistance and shock absorption as well as excellent grip on all types of terrain.
The tip features HRZN technology for improved lift and precise steering in ploughed and trampled snow. It also benefits from a cut-out to quickly install skins.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS :
Construction :
- Construction: Cap Sidewall

- HRZN Tech Spatula: 10% increase in the surface area of the spatula, which provides more lift without increasing rotational inertia.
- Step Down Sidewall: stable, lightweight and durable sidewalls with a symmetrical “step” on each side.
- All Mountain Rocker 15/85/0: for all types of snow and terrain, both on and off piste. An ultra-versatile rocker thanks to the slight lift of the tip alone.
